Headteacher's Message

I would like to thank Year 8 parents, carers and students for last night’s Progress Evening. I was delighted to see the very positive relationships
between home and school and was impressed by the quality of the discussions. Year 8 is a year group with huge potential and we are confident that we will continue to see great things from them.
Much of my time this week has been devoted to planning and recruitment for September. I am pleased to report that we had a successful Year 4&5 Open Evening last week and that this week’s Open Morning was well attended. In addition, I have admitted a number of new students into Years 7&8 and have several tours booked for next week with Year 4 and 5 students.

I have also now met with all of the newly appointed Cross-Trust Assistant Headteachers who will be working across all three schools in our Trust. As you
know, Saxmundham and Beccles have both been inspected this academic year and continue to be judged as ‘Good’ schools with ‘outstanding features’. I will lead the team of the newly appointed Cross-Trust Assistant Headteachers from Saxmundham and Beccles and they will be spending time here at Ixworth supporting and working with a variety of staff. I will update you further on this in the forthcoming weeks and have included their photos in this week’s family bulletin…more
